With a passion for decorating and event planning spanning 25 years, Ruby Collins embarked on her journey as a PTO officer, initially showcasing her talents by cooking chili for an annual event at Howell Valley School, which drew crowds exceeding 900 attendees. This experience ignited her path, leading to the organization of themed Teacher Appreciation Dinners and the expansion into catering for various events and weddings.
Utilizing her skills to fund her college education, Ruby continued to excel, ultimately earning a degree in Teaching while simultaneously serving as a class sponsor, orchestrating numerous school events. Despite her dedication to teaching, Ruby’s love for event decoration and catering prevailed, culminating in the realization of her long-held dream with the establishment of Rubydoo’s Vintage Events in March 2015.
